Lazy, Hazy Days of Summer????
That's what I want to call it. 99 degrees and no relief insight. Seems to me that years ago in the South, this is when we should be "sittin" on the porch drinking ice tea, rocking and fanning ourselves. But we don't live in the country and the women don't get together to quilt and cook while the men clear trees and have a log rolling. You ask where did I get that? Well, my dear sweet Southern Belle of a 92 year mom has started telling stories that I have never heard before. This was one of her rememberences - and the fact that she didn't like to quilt. We are fortunate to still have her with us and enjoyed having over to our house yesterday after church to visit with Nick before he starts his adventure in Colorado.

We have really got to get dad and you to work on getting some of these stories recorded so that we can pass them on down. I interviewed her when I was in HS but I'm not sure I still have that anymore.
